  • UCSB Remembers Courageous Lives

Declaring that a university is "a curator of memory," Chancellor Henry Yang asked the campus community to reflect on our common bonds, including ties with the heroes and victims of 9/11. Around 300 people watched and listened as bagpipe and cello marked the replacement of a new Old Glory on the flagpole near Cheadle Hall.
In Storke Plaza, the Associated Students' Program Board organized a display of the more than 3,000 names of the people from 30-some nations who lost their lives on 9/11 of last year.
