  • Staff Nominations Due by March 29

Nominations for the 2002 Staff Citation of Excellence are due on March 29 at 3 p.m. in order to be evaluated before the May 10 ceremony. They should be delivered along with two endorsement letters by campus mail to Catherine Salzgeber, academic personnel assistant in history (HSSB 4001).
There is also a Staff Assembly Web site with a nomination form ready to download http://ucsbuxa.ucsb.edu/es/ucsbstaff/index.ucsbstaff.htm.
Nominations for the citations, and their $500 award, must follow a specific protocol: Nominees must be career or contract staff not on probation; they cannot be from the Senior Management Group or a Management Senior Professional. Nominators must gather two endorsements, and one of the three must be a peer of the nominee. The two endorsement letters or memos must not exceed one page each. The forms and letters will not be returned.
Salzgeber, the UCSB Staff Assembly coordinator for the awards program, and Marti Mangan in admissions are handling inquiries and volunteers for the selection committee. Mangan can be reached at mangan-m@sa.ucsb.edu or x3641.
