CSAC, Staff Assembly Seek Volunteers
Volunteers are needed
for committees, advisory boards, even Staff Assembly, according to
Cindy Ponce, assistant director of the Academic Personnel Office,
who is taking applications until Aug. 1 on behalf of the Chancellor's
Staff Advisory Council. She can be reached at cindy.ponce@ap.ucsb.edu.
CSAC is acting as a clearinghouse for groups as diverse as those concerned with women's issues to the new alternative transportation and parking ratepayer boards.

Staff Assembly, a campuswide organization for career staff, also needs
volunteers, especially to help with a December meeting at UCSB of
the systemwide Council of UC Staff Assemblies. Ponce will forward
volunteer names to them.
