The Mobile Dwelling Unit is a standard shipping container with customized extrusions that create fully functional living and work spaces. The prototype MDU was jointly commissioned by the UCSB museum and the Walker Art Center of Minneapolis, which debuted the unit last June. Reception is on Oct. 3 at 6 p.m.

Currently, UCTV is on Chan. 21 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, and Saturdays 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. UCSB-originated programs run 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays, and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., but may be recablecast at different times.
