Crowds gathered to celebrate the unveiling of the Isla Vista Banner project and the grand reopening of Pardall Road on April 30. The event also marked the launch of “Word,” Isla Vista’s new arts and culture magazine. The Banner Project was the culmination of a course taught by art professor Kim Yasuda that involved students from more than 10 different campus departments.
